Water Babies
6 months – 3 years
Parent-and-me time in the water. Getting used to the feel of it, blowing bubbles, gentle floats, and building happy associations with the pool.
South Florida · Naples · Fort Myers
Private and small-group instruction for children, taught at your child's pace in water you already feel comfortable in. Water safety first, strokes second, fun the whole way through.
Lessons year round — because Florida.
Our approach
Every swimmer arrives somewhere different — some can't wait to jump in, some won't let go of the wall. Both are fine starting points. Lessons move at the swimmer's pace, never on a stopwatch.
One-on-one, or groups small enough that nobody waits their turn on the steps. More minutes in the water, more hands-on time, faster progress.
Before anything else, swimmers learn to get to the wall, roll to their back, float, and breathe. The skills that matter most are the ones you hope they never need.
We travel to home and community pools across the region. Familiar water means less anxiety on day one — and no drive across town after work.
Lesson levels
Swimmers move up when they're ready, not when the calendar says so. Not sure where yours fits? Tell us a little about them and we'll help you decide.

Beginners
Independent floating on front and back, submerging with confidence, kicking with a barrier, and the safety roll-and-breathe sequence.
Advancing swimmers
Freestyle and backstroke with side breathing, treading water, deep-end entries and exits, and swimming a full pool length without stopping.

Good questions
Around six months, once a baby has decent head control. At that age it's parent-and-me: short, gentle sessions focused on getting comfortable rather than on skills.
Not at all — it's one of the most common reasons families call. The first lessons go slowly and stay on the swimmer's terms. Nobody gets thrown in the deep end, literally or otherwise.
Consistency matters more than volume. Once or twice a week keeps skills building; shorter, more frequent sessions usually work better than one long one, especially for little swimmers.
Yes — home pools and community pools throughout our service areas. If you don't have access to a pool, let us know your area and we'll talk through the options.
Usually yes, when they're close in ability. If one is well ahead of the other, separate lessons keep both moving instead of splitting attention down the middle.
Swimsuit, towel, and sunscreen. Swim diapers for anyone not yet potty trained. Skip the puddle jumpers and floaties for lesson time — we want swimmers feeling their own buoyancy.
